PSLC & Festivals

The Public Schools Lodges’ Council or PSLC is a grouping of the London Lodges that represent the country’s great public schools .

There are 35 Lodges represented on the Council, including a Lodge for Installed Masters and the Royal Arch Chapters associated with Charterhouse, Sherborne, Merchant Taylors’ and Taunton. The Public Schools Royal Arch Chapter is attached to Westminster.

The Council has funds at its disposal for Benevolent and Scholarship purposes. During the past five years, approximately £15K has been distributed for charitable purposes.

The lodges that make up the PSLC celebrate their association and fellowship each year with an annual festival which is hosted on rotation by the member schools, normally at the school in early summer.

Sir Thomas White Lodge has hosted the festival on three occasions: first in 1960, again in 1979 in the year of the Lodge’s centenary and in 2004. A list of the festival past and planned can be found on the PSLC Website.

The next PSLC Festival will be held at Ardingly on 2 July 2022.
