Arthur Heiron

Heiron was born 29 April, 1864, the son of an OMT George W Heiron and Mary. He went to Merchant Taylors’ leaving in 1880, becoming a solicitor, and practised in the City until his retirement in 1911.

He was Worshipful Master of Sir Thomas White Lodge in both 1918 and 1919, Treasurer of the Lodge and a founder of the Chapter in 1922. He wrote ‘Ancient Freemasonry and the Old Dundee Lodge No 18’ a history of his mother lodge. He was a recipient of London Rank and a member of Quatnor Coronati Lodge No 2076 (elected October 1929) and a contributor to AQC, as well as other masonic periodicals of the time.
