Chapter Centenary celebration- 8th June, 2021

SIR THOMAS WHITE CHAPTER – consecrated 25th January, 1921

THE CHAPTER CENTENARY CELEBRATION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY 8th JUNE, 2021 AT FREEMASONS HALL, GREAT QUEEN STREET, LONDON WC2B 5AZ

PLANNED OUTLINE OF PROCEEDINGS

To open the Chapter at approximately 5.15pm (restricted to Royal Arch Freemasons only)

To receive a presentation of the Centenary Charter from Metropolitan Grand Chapter

To close the Chapter at approximately 6pm

To admit all other visiting Freemasons and non-Freemasons

To receive a talk from Companion Ian Ford-Batey on “Rogues in Freemasonry”

Champagne reception at approximately 6.45pm

Centenary banquet at 7.30pm sharp and presentation of our cheque to Simon Everson, Headmaster of Merchant Taylors’ School as the inaugural contribution to the Sir Thomas White School Masonic Grant Fund*

*The Sir Thomas White School Masonic Grant Fund is being established to enable the Head Master of the day to award a discretionary grant to any bursary student who, through principally circumstances of financial distress, would be unable to participate in certain school activities that would otherwise enhance their education or personal development. Examples would include subsidising an overseas educational or sporting school trip or assistance in providing a laptop computer (or their future successor device !)

During the banquet a collection will be made, the proceeds of which will go, equally, towards the School Masonic Grant Fund and the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
